Interview begins at 00:11:00. During this follow-up interview held at the Border Studies Archive 25 October 2013, Irene Atwood shared her knowledge about the University of Texas Pan-American, previously known as Pan-American College (PANAM). She speaks about her involvement to promote PANAM to a four year university. Mrs. Atwood also shares her memories during the desegregation period and how it affected the area of the Rio Grande Valley, including her knowledge on the theme of discrimination in the area.
