Abstract

Spindle cell carcinoma is a rare metastatic pulmonary malignancy. There is limited information in the literature about the prognosis and current treatments. Here we report a case of elderly male who underwent lung biopsy which revealed spindle cell carcinoma and he was referred to radiation department for radiotherapy but could not survive due to widespread metastasis.

Metastatic Spindle cell carcinoma in a Hispanic male in south Texas: A rare case

Spindle cell carcinoma is a rare metastatic pulmonary malignancy. There is limited information in the literature about the prognosis and current treatments. Here we report a case of elderly male who underwent lung biopsy which revealed spindle cell carcinoma and he was referred to radiation department for radiotherapy but could not survive due to widespread metastasis.
