Johnson Lyngaas Olson Family Photo Album
Johnson Lyngaas Olson Family Photo Album is a small family photo album featuring members of the Johnson, Lyngaas, and Olson families. Group pictures, candid photographs, and landscapes appear throughout; in addition, a handwritten list of names, dates, and marriages is also included.
Some people and places have been identified by blue-ink handwriting in margins. Names include Eva Olson, Lloyd and Juanita Johnson, Ralph and Dorothy Lyngaas, Leonard and Edna Johnson, "Grandma" Olson, Frank Flores, Hattie Olson, Gene Owen Lyngaas, Arthur "Art" Henry Lyngaas, Morgan Olson, Pete and Alma Johnson, among others.
Locations include Woodford, WI; Appleton, WI; Alamo, TX; and McAllen, TX.
Crops include cabbage, onion, broom corn, citrus, and cotton.
The photo album consists of 33 worn pages (65 front and back), BW photos mounted to black pages, flaking edges and corners, and silver gelatin photographs. The photographs exhibit age-related discoloration, minor staining, and slight fading. Some photographs include handwritten annotations identifying people and places.
The Johnson Lyngaas Olson family photo album was donated by a community member to the Hidalgo County Historical Commission Collection.
