Description

"This [panoramic] view is southward from the old lighthouse and shows the appearance of the townsite of Port Isabel when the development was just getting started after the old town buildings had been moved off the ground. Fifteen brand new buildings including First Baptist Church and the new school. In the middle distance to the left can be seen the first of the cottage tourist camps one of the best equipped in Texas and occupying an entire block of ground."
