Dr. Javier A. Martinez, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Brownsville, is working with the new Linked 2 Success initiative for incoming freshman this fall. Martinez has a doctoral degree from The Ohio State University and began working in UTB's Department of English in 1999. His areas of expertise are in science fiction, American literature and literary criticism.
