Description
Interview with Esperanza Ayala, widow of Pedro Ayala "El Monarca del Acordeón" and the mother of Ramon Ayala and Pedro Ayala Jr. (Quito). In this interview, she talks about witnessing the changes that conjunto went through in the Rio Grande Valley. Esperanza shares the difficulties that she went through as the wife of a musician, her experiences as a labor worker and later on as a seamstress, and the stories behind Pedro’s music.
