Abstract
Food insecurity is a household-level condition marked by uncertain or limited access to adequate food. Recognizing food insecurity as a key social determinant of health, this project aims to screen patients at the UTRGV Knapp Family Medicine Clinic to identify associations with frailty and chronic disease progression and early identification may support a more holistic approach to care and help reduce health disparities.
