Comments on the coverage of strikers in local, labor and Spanish newspapers during four periods of Chicana labor militancy in El Paso and San Antonio, Texas. Texas press images of Mexican-American strikers; Ways of analyzing prescribed roles for women as compared to their real actions; Lack of historical interest in the work experiences of Mexican-American women.
