Description

Documentary on the life of Dr. Américo Paredes, born in Brownsville, Texas. Dr. Paredes talks about being born during border troubles or ethnic cleansing along the U.S.-Mexico border when Texas Rangers and others murdered Mexicans. Dr. Paredes talks about the meaning of the word mojado in a Brownsville context. His first poem, \A Sonnet Tonight,\ won a poetry contest at Trinity College. Dr. Paredes talks about the reasons for writing music.
