The collection consists of artifacts discovered by Manuel Hinojosa in the Lower Rio Grande Valley and Northern Mexico pertaining to the Mexican-American War.

File 1: Pottery poker chips. Three pieces. Two with visible artwork, the larger chip is painted with a man walking buildings are drawn behind him. The chip has a blue hue. The smaller chip is black and white a man's head wearing a top hat is painted on the chip. The medium-sized chip is a plain white color. A penny is placed for size.
