Description

Black and white sepia photograph (1961-01-15). Photograph depicts a canal dug out with sections of concrete tunnel lining the edge. Photograph is faded and discolored. Photo is inscribed with four lines of text: "Laying under-ground concrete canal", "Lower Rio Grande Valley", "Jan. 15th" and "Photo by Gardner". Year 1961 is inferred from other "Photos by Gardner" in folder. Handwriting in pencil appears on back of photograph "H G Stillwell, Brownsville, Texas" along with a circled number "4".
