The typed caption on the photo reads, "PO41808-4/18/70-Space Center, Houston: A group of about 20 persons, carrying signs and shouting antiwar slogans, disrupted President Nixon's appearance at the Manned Spacecraft Center 4/18. The group appeared [...] the President was presenting Freedom Medals to Apollo 13 ground controllers. A dozen brown-clad Harris County sheriff's deputies moved in on the group, mostly Mexican-Americans and Negroes, and removed three [...] from the area. The President did not appear to notice.
