Rear handwritten text:
"Presented to Sunshine Hill Band by Lauren English, Son of Ed W. English.
Shortly before the United States became involved in World War One, Francisco Villa rebelled against the Carranza Mexican Government and there was much unrest along the U.S. Mexico border and on one occasion Villa's army invaded a city in Arizona, U.S.A. The United States Militia was mobilized and troops were sent to U.S. Mexico border cities, and many workers were drafted from the Ford Motor Co. plant. Henry Ford Sr. objected to the Government action, arguing that the mobilization was not necessary. Ford and the Chicago Tribune became quite involved in a newspaper argument and someplace in their argument the paper Co. called Ford an "anarchist" and Ford sued them for one million dollars.
The idea in the paper Co. recruiting three Law enforcement officers from Texas was to try to prove their points. This was a long time ago and if my memory serves me right, I was told that Ford got a judgement for six cents.
In this picture, Dow + Hines were clowning with the Mexico Hats and Tom Mayfield was laughing about it."
