Abstract
La planificación de un álbum virtual de microfotografías de parásitos intestinales es novedosa y su desarrollo requerirá de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación. La Sección de Geohelmintiasis del Instituto de Medicina Tropical está especializada en la atención de pacientes con parasitosis intestinales a nivel nacional, donde se realizan exámenes de heces con técnicas coproparasitológicas, lo que permitirá la recopilación del material fotográfico. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo planificar la elaboración de un álbum de fotos virtual de parásitos intestinales y publicarlo en la web con fines divulgativos y educativos. A las muestras de heces de pacientes referidos se les practicará examen directo con solución salina y lugol, Formol Etil-Acetato, Baermann, Cinta Adhesiva Transparente, Kato-Katz y Zielh-Neelsen modificado. Con el examen microscópico se observarán las formas parasitarias al microscopio de luz y se clasificarán. Las fotografías se realizarán con una cámara digital de 12 píxeles y microscopio que se enfocará con objetivos de 10X, 40X y 100X para los helmintos, protozoarios y coccídias respectivamente. Las licencias de autoría serán de Creative commons, se estructurará la página web para la publicación de las imágenes. Este álbum de fotos virtual de parásitos intestinales es el primero que la Sección de Geohelmintiasis planifica y cuya colección de microfotografías constituirán un banco de imágenes de protozoarios, helmintos y coccidias intestinales, basado en la experiencia clínico-asistencial y de investigación propia de la Sección de Geohelmintiasis, logrando su visión y misión integral.

The planning of a virtual album of microphotographs of intestinal parasites is novel and its development will require the use of information and communication technologies. The Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH) laboratory of the Institute of Tropical Medicine is a care laboratory and a specialist in taking care of patients with intestinal parasites at the national level and that has mastery of the settings upon coproparasithological techniques, it will permit the compilation of the photographic material. The present work has as its object how to make a virtual photos album of intestinal parasites and to publish it in the web with the aims of disclosure and education. To the feces samples of referred patients, a direct examination will be made with saline solution and Lugol, Formol-Ethil-Acetate, Baermann, Transparent Adhesive Tape, Kato-Katz and Zielh-Neelsen modified. The parasites forms will be observed by microscope. The microphotographs will perfor with a 12 pixels digital camera and a light microscope with 10X, 40X and 100X lenses for helminths, protozoa and coccidian respectively. The author licenses will be of Creative Commons and the structure of the web page will be planned for the publication of the images. This album of virtual photos will be the first to be made in Venezuela, and this collection of microphotographs will constitute an image bank of clinical, assistance and investigation experience of STH lab, it is complying with the integral laboratory’s vision and mission.
