Abstract
This educational activity involved the delivery of an interactive, case-based learning session to first-year medical students on culturally responsive communication and strengthening the patient-doctor relationship. Through a clinical case, students explored the use of professional medical interpreters, Kleinman’s Questions, gender-affirming communication, and the influence of social and structural barriers on patient trust and healthcare access. The session generated substantial student engagement and active participation, with students asking numerous questions and contributing to discussion.
