Abstract

This perspective piece discusses the interplay between Covid-19, the legacy of racism in America, and their synergistic effects on the black community. Personal racially charged experiences in conjunction with notable stories of injustice in medicine are used to set the stage. The pandemic's disparate impact on black communities are then discussed with suggestion on how to mitigate these issues.
