Hand-colored lithograph. "The Death of the Gallant Major Ringgold" Major Ringgold is fatally wounded on the ground what appears to be two stab wounds in his thighs. Two of his men are looking at him with worry, as his horse looks distraught. "Entered according to the Act of Congress A.D. 1846 by Sarony & Major in the Clerks office of the Dist. Court of the Southern Dist. of N. York" "99 Nassau Near Fulton St. N.Y."
