Understanding Humanistic and Family Predictors of Mexican American College Students’ Subjective Happiness

Abstract
Mexican American college students (N = 127) provided perceptions of presence of meaning in life, search for meaning in life, self-efficacy, hope, family importance, and subjective happiness. Presence of meaning in life and family importance were significant predictors of subjective happiness. The authors discuss the importance of these findings and the implications for humanistic counselors and counselor educators.
