Abstract
Orion Beltran y las raices del universo / Orion Beltran and the Roots of the Universe: A Novel, tells the story of first-generation immigrant witch, Orion Beltran, and his reluctant mentor, Ema. Set against a backdrop of early 2000s Brownsville, the novel is an exploration of the way first-generation Mexican children look for and find their roots both in the legends of Mexico and in the land in which they now live.
