Elmer Charles Gates (1900 - 1994) was born 20 April 1900 in Clarks, Nebraska. Mr. Gates served with the U.S. Army's 91st Division as a sergeant in charge of World War I infirmary. Subjects include family and farm life in Nebraska, war, the depression and working as a U.S. mail carrier.
