Abstract
The workforce has experienced a significant labor shortage since before the pandemic. However, after it was safe to return to work, the job shortage increased, making the rates of open positions very high. Investigating why this is happening can provide more in-depth details on our nation's labor problems today. Many believe that everyone losing their job because of the pandemic has increased awareness of finding work that will keep them employed if even a second wave of closures happens again. The study will use the quantitative research method by providing an open-ended questionnaire to its participants. The aim is to uncover what has changed with people in the workforce and to understand why most people are now super sensitive to future and past jobs. Once all the information has been collected from our participants, reviewing keywords within their responses can provide the study with some clues about what they are thinking. The study hopes to create a new pattern to help employers and employees. With the job market the way it is, we face a labor shortage in some industries. The study hopes to find some corrective measures from the participants to better understand why there is a labor shortage and what they believe can be done about it. It hopes to create new solutions to our economy's overwhelming factors today.
