April 29th marks the 50th anniversary of the swearing in of Judge Reynaldo G. Garza as the nation's first Mexican American federal judge. The papers and personal artifacts of Judge Reynaldo G. Garza are currently on display in the Arnulfo L. Oliveira Memorial Library on the campus of The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College.
