Alma Gomez of Brownsville will never forget Xmas of 2010. That holiday, she received her best Christmas present, the gift of life, a kidney from one of her sisters. Now two years later, she fulfilled a personal goal. In December of 2012, she walked across the stage at Winter Commencement to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.
