Hand-colored lithograph. "Death of Major Ringgold at the Battle of Palo Alto". Major Ringgold can be seen on the ground legs twisted his men holding him up as they try to control his distraught horse. Others come to his aid. Soldiers can be seen dead on the ground. Fighting can be seen on the left side of the painting while smoke covers the right side.
