"Cotton irrigated by sprinkler irrigation on the L.E. Schulze Farm. Cotton was planted April 17, 1956 and received 2.4 inches of rain since planting. 100 pounds of 10-20-10 fertilizer was applied. Schulze received Soil Conservation Service assistance in locating the well and in design of his sprinkler irrigation system."

"Sarg Sorgo planted on 4x soil. J.W. Martin Jr., inspecting feed. Feed was planted May 1956 at the rate of 10 pounds per acre following oats and hubam clover. This feed received 5 irrigations. The first rain fell Aug. 31, 1956. 8 inches of rain have fallen since. Feed averages 14 feet in height and produced 56.6 tons of green feed per acre. Martin received Soil Conservation Service assistance in design and layout of his irrigation system. Soil unit 4X."
